La Petite Famille

Bonjour mes amis !

Aujourd’hui on vole de Varsovie jusqu’au Nice pour visiter ma tatie Pascale, mon oncle André et mes cousins Julien et Marion. Alors première fois dans un avion.

J’ai été assez sage. Comme j’avais un peu faim au premier décollage alors j’ai crié un peu. Mais pour le deuxième vol (nous avons fait escale à Paris) tout était super ! Même pendant le premier j’ai pris une bonne sieste, comme tu peux voir sur la photo. Il y a une autre image de maman et moi plus bas.

Je hâte de rencontrer la famille ! A plus tard…

Hello my admirers!

Today we are flying from Warsaw to Nice to visit my auntie Pascale, uncle Andre and my two cousins Julien and Marion. So, my first time in an airplane!

I was pretty good, though I was a little hungry at the beginning of the first flight, so I cried a bit during take-off. But for the second flight (we had to go through Paris), everything was great. I even managed to get a nice nap during the first flight, as you can see in the photo above. Below is another image with Mommy and me in the plane.

I can’t wait to meet the family!

Aujourd’hui nous avons loué une voiture pour aller dans le nord de Pologne (Warmia). Maman a vraiment besoin de passer quelques jours dans une atmosphère détendue, alors au Spa !

Le temps n’était pas le meilleur pour un voyage en voiture, mais ça n’a pas me déranger du tout car j’ai bien dormi. C’est presque aussi bon que la poussette pour ça.

Nous avons prévu un pique-nique en route mais à la fin on a mangé dans la voiture. Moins drôle mais on s’est amusé nous trois. Après 5 heures de route on est arrivé à notre destination (qui s’apelles Młyn Klekotki – Moulin de Klekotki), un endroit très sympa et jolie. On a trouvé aussi que notre chambre est super chouette.

On espère d’avoir le temps un peu plus agréable demain et je preparai plus d’images pour vous.

Today we rented a car to go to the north of Poland (Warmia). Mommy needed a good break after working so hard the last few weeks. So, to the spa!

The weather wasn’t superb for a drive but that didn’t bother me too much since I slept for most of the trip. The car is almost as good as the stroller for that!

We had planned and prepared a picnic for the road, but with the rain decided to just sit in the car and eat it. It’s okay though ’cause we had a nice time anyway. After 5 hours on the road we arrived at our destination (which is called Młyn Klekotki – Klekotki Windmill), a very nice place. We were happy to find that our room was a beautiful big suite!

Hopefully we’ll get some better weather for the weekend and I’ll send some more photos for you!

Bon, encore un first! Ce soir j’ai eu mon premier experience avec un babysitter! Maman a acheté des billets pour Papa de voir Paco de Lucia en concert pour son anniversaire. Alors ils m’ont déposé avec des amis pendant qu’ils étaient au concert. J’ai passé un nuit traquille et sage avec Marie-Annique et sa famille. Ils sont très sympa et j’ai eu la chance de voir un chien, un chat, des couchons-dinde et une belle aquarium.

Maman et Papa ont bien passé leur nuit aussi, mais ils étaient content de me revoir! Ils sont marrant, non? Il faut dire que j’étais pas très en forme car j’ai dormi, mais quand même content de les voir.

Well, another first today! I stayed with a babysitter for the first time. Mommy had gotten Daddy tickets to see Paco de Lucia in concert for his birthday and the concert was tonight. So they dropped me off at some friends house to take care of me during the show. I had a nice, calm evening with Marie-Annique and her family. They are very nice and I got the chance to visit with a dog, a cat, a couple of guinea pigs and a nice aquarium.

Mommy and Daddy seemed to have a nice evening, but were quite happy to see me again. Cute, aren’t they? I have to admit I was a little cranky since they woke me up, but not too much.

Travail avec Papa

Aujourd’hui j’ai passé 30 minutes sur les genoux de papa pendant qu’il a travaillé. On a regardé les images sur son écran et j’ai écouté un monsieur à l’autre but du Skype.

J’adore regarder les écrans de papa parce qu’il y a toujours quelque choses de jolie qui passe devant mes yeux.

Bon, pas grand choses à vous raconter, mais c’est mieux que rien, n’est-ce pas ? Voilà une image de nous en train de travailler, pris pas maman.

Working with Daddy

Today I spent 30 minutes in Daddy’s lap while he worked. We watched the images on his screen and I listened to a man talking on the other end of a Skype connection.

I love to watch Daddy’s screens because there is always something pretty moving by in front of my eyes.

Anyway, not much today to tell you about, but better than nothing, right? Mama took that image of us “working” together.

Après un petit pause de quelque semaines, je reviens avec des histoires sur quelques “premiers”.

Le weekend dernier nous étions à la piscine pour faire mon premier experience de “nager”. Ça m’a plait, mais j’étais pas trop content de rester dans l’eau pour longtemps car j’avais déjà un peu faim. Alors après 10 minutes j’ai fait un petit crise.

Mais pour les premiers minutes, c’était amusant et tu peut voir des vidéos que maman et papa ont fait. On va retourner à la piscine ce weekend aussi je crois. Peut-être j’aurais pas autant de faim.

Deuxième expérience nouvelle était le biberon avec papa ! Maman avait besoin d’être à un rendez-vous pour plus que 3-4 heures alors c’était papa qui m’a donné à manger. J’ai hésité pour commencer mais après quelques minutes j’avais bien pris. Ça a fait un drôle d’effets au début mais j’ai trouvé ma bonheur .

Bon, c’est tout pour le moment. Désolé pour le trou dans les histoires, mais les parents n’ont pas toujours le temps de écrire tous que je les dis.

After a little break from the blog, I’m back with a few anecdotes about “firsts” from this week.

Last weekend we went to the local public pool for my first swimming experience. I enjoyed it, though I was already a bit hungry when we arrived, so I had a hard time enjoying myself after a few minutes. After about 10 minutes I started crying a lot.

But it was fun before that and next time I hope we arrive a bit sooner after I eat . Above are some videos of me in the water that Mommy & Daddy took. We’ll go back to the pool again this weekend.

My second new experience was getting fed from the bottle by Daddy. Mommy had a meeting that last mire than a couple of hours, so that left Daddy to give me my lunch. He did okay, though I have to admit that I was a bit slow getting used to the bottle. It’s different than Mommy’s breast, that is for sure!

Well that’s all for now. Sorry for the lack of posts, but Mommy & Daddy don’t always have the time to type up all the stuff I tell them.

Hello everyone, it’s Lea

Daddy has been a bit lax lately about putting up some new images (6 weeks without a single new one!), but fortunately my auntie Marie asked if there would be any new ones soon. So I told him she was right and to get to work!

So he managed to get new images up even ones from today, when we went to the park and say the Mandarin ducks that I like so much!

Enjoy these new photos and hopefully he’ll get some new video up soon too!

Today Pani Magda, our midwife, came for the first checkup visit after birth. She asked Mom and Dad a lot of questions to make sure Mommy and I are ok. She examined me, checked on my reflexes, weighed me… I weigh 8.1 pounds (3 670 gr) now! Not bad, isn’t it?! And I am just fine! I didn’t cry as she was manipulated me, all naked!

We talked with Grandma Linda and the Donovans for the occasion of Thanksgiving.

As for us, we will celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow. It is neither a Polish nor a French holiday, but Mom and Dad have started a tradition a few years ago of celebrating Thanksgiving at home with about 10 people around the table. Dad enjoys very much cooking the turkey and all the dishes that make what all Mom and Dad’s friends underline as a great diner! We’re going to have a lot of fun! Can’t wait to taste the turkey, cranberry-ginger chutney, pumpkin pie… in Mommy’s milk!

I’ve changed already, said Mom, Dad and Grandpa François. I’m more aware of the environment. My eyes are perfectly fine now and I’m happy to be able to open them more and more every day. I’m very curious about the world, although I don’t see very well yet.

Pani Magda, notre sage-femme, est venue à la maison pour la première visite de contrôle depuis ma naissance. Elle a posé plein de questions à Papa et Maman pour s’assurer que nous allions bien. Elle m’a examinée, a contrôlé mes réflexes, m’a pesée… Je pèse 3 670 gr maintenant, Pas mal, hein ! Et je me porte très bien ! Je n’ai pas pleuré pendant l’examen même si j’étais toute nue.

On a parlé avec Mamie Linda et les Donovan à l’occasion de Thanksgiving. Nous, nous fêterons Thanksgiving demain. Ce n’est pas une fête en France ni en Pologne mais Papa et Maman ont lancé une petite tradition autour de Thanksgiving il y a quelques années et célèbrent cette fête américaine avec une dizaine d’amis autour de la table. Papa adore cuisiner la dinde et tous les plat qui font ce que nos amis qualifient toujours d’un merveilleux dîner ! On va bien s’amuser. Je suis drôlement impatiente de goûter la dinde, le chutney d’airelles au gingembre, la tarte au potiron… dans le lait de Maman !

J’ai déjà beaucoup changé disent Papa, Maman et Papi François. J’ai plus conscience de mon environnement. Mes yeux sont complètement guéris et je suis bien contente de pouvoir les ouvrir chaque jour un peu plus. Je suis très curieuse du monde, même je ne le vois pas encore très bien.

Nothing will stop my parents! Unfortunately we couldn’t get in to Reni’s concert, literally “across the street”, because we arrived late, but at least we could go to the after-concert party for 45 minutes. Everybody was astonished to see me, Reni’s youngest fan: a 10-day-old little girl.

I met Reni and Tomek – who are expecting a little Teosz for late December, can’t wait to meet the guy, we’ll be great friends I’m sure, we live very close –, Pani Teresa (Reni and Paulina’s mother), Izabela and Piotr, but actually I was sleeping all the time.

This party was also the occasion to try the baby carrier. It’s great and very comfortable. I sleep just fine in it and when Mommy or Daddy walk it rocks me softly against their body, it reminds me of my stay in Mommy’s belly.

Rien n’arrête mes parents. Malheureusement nous n’avons pas pu rentrer au concert de Reni, qui avait lieu dans le cinéma de l’autre côté de la rue car nous sommes arrivés en retard, mais au moins on a pu aller à la fête après le concert. On est resté que trois quarts d’heure. Tout le monde était très supris de me voir, moi, la fan de Reni la plus jeune : une petite fille de 10 jours !

J’ai fait la connaissance de Reni et Tomek, Pani Teresa (la maman de Reni et Paulina), Izabela et Piotr… mais en fait j’ai dormi tout le temps. Reni et Tomek attendent un petit Teosz pour la fin décembre. Je suis très impatiente de rencontrer le p’tit gars. Je suis sûre qu’on va bien s’entendre, on habite juste à côté,

Cette petite fête a été l’occasion de tester le porte-bébé. C’est très chouette et confortable. Je dors bien dedans et quand Maman ou Papa marche, ça me berce doucement contre leur corps. Ca me rappelle mon séjour dans le ventre de Maman.

Since Saturday, the first time we went out for shopping, Mommy takes me everywhere. We go out a lot with Grandpa and Andrée: we go to restaurants, cafés, parcs, etc. The truth is I’m really a good girl! I don’t cry, except when I’m hungry. But then I can be quite… loud.

Depuis samedi, la première fois que nous sommes réellement sortis pour faire des courses, Maman m’emmène partout. On se promène beaucoup avec Papi et Andrée, on va au restaurant, au café, au parc,… Il faut dire que je suis de bonne composition ! Je ne pleurs jamais, sauf quand j’ai faim. Là j’avoue que je m’exprime… très bruyamment.
